GUITAR IN YOUR HOME

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

After 13 years of offering guitar lessons in Crawley, and dealing with many eventualites, please read carefully our terms and conditions, which are accepted by both parties when payment of an invoice has been made and a schedule agreed for guitar lessons to take place.
T's & C's

Booking guitar lessons and making payment.

Guitar In Your Home offer an initial 'taster' guitar lesson to try our guitar tutor services. This single guitar lesson is payable on the day and at the time of instruction by cash, cheque or bank transfer.

Subsequent guitar lessons are booked and paid in advance in minimum blocks of 4 lessons, and receive a discount for doing so.

All blocks of guitar lessons are invoiced and scheduled, with this schedule being agreed between parent/student and guitar tutor.

Payment details for your guitar lessons will be included on the invoice, and we accept cash, cheque, bank transfer and PayPal (though we regret a surchage applies to PayPal payments).

Please read our terms and conditions on our website and invoices carefully. Payment of your invoice will be an acceptance of our terms and conditions of business during these 4 guitar lessons.

Rescheduling or cancelling your guitar lesson.

At least 48 hours notice of cancellation is required to avoid loss of the tuition fee and a better chance of rescheduling the lesson to a mutually benefitial time and day of that week.

Should we be unavailable to reschedule to another slot that week then we regret the fee shall be lost.

Late notice or 'no show' policy.

As we offer a mobile service to your door and in your home, we operate a strict  'no show' policy which results in the loss of the missed guitar lesson's fee.

Guitar Lessons being cancelled with less than 48 hours notice shall result in a loss of the guitar lesson fee.

Guitar Hire Terms.

We are very happy to offer guitars and accessories for hire to help students try the guitar before making any significant investment.

A refundable deposit of £40.00 is required to hire the instrument. The refund is subject to the instrument being returned in a satisfactory condition as when it had left Guitar In Your Home.

We obviously take into account fair wear and tear, which we include the odd scratch or dink.

Substantial damage to the instrument would result in a part or full deduction of deposit, which includes but does not limit:

  • Loss of wood through misuse of the guitar or accident

  • Failure of guitar electronics due to misuse (liquid spillage for example)

  • Fractures to the guitar head, neck or body which limits the instrument's tuning stability or renders it unuseable.

  • Broken guitar strings (£2.00 per string)

Expiry of guitar lessons.

All guitar lessons that are pre-booked and paid for in advance are subject to expiry and must be redeemed within 3 months of payment date. Failure to redeem will result in expiry and loss of guitar tuition fees.

Refund policy.

Guitar In Your Home does not offer refunds for guitar lessons that are pre-booked and paid for in advance.

We do however offer that the balance of your remaining guitar lessons may be transferred to a gift voucher that can be offered to your friends or family.

Please note that pre-booked and paid for lessons in advance are subject to a 3 month expiry from payment date.
